Water resources planning crisis or opportunity?

Population growth and the uncertainties associated with climate change are placing ever-growing pressure on our water resources. Planning to deliver resilient, affordable plans that balance supply and demand, protect the environment and are customer-focused is increasingly challenging.

This challenge needs to be met to avoid what Environment Agency Executive Director James Bevan has termed “the jaws of death” - the point in time at which we will not have enough water to meet our needs.

CIWEM invites you to join us as this conference explores what it will take to ensure future water needs are met alongside meeting the goal of the 25 Year Environment Plan to enhance the environment for the next generation.
